Congress Event
This presentation explores current perspectives arising from the notion of the border or boundary in the history of books. If it is important to depart from national frameworks in order to relate the scope and complexity of book networks, the exploration of borders (no longer viewed as the limits of closed systems, but rather as thresholds) remains a fertile area of research. Josée Vincent thus proposes that we renew our focus on certain publishing practices and suggests we pay closer attention to the settings and players that interact in a world that is open and yet subject to linguistic, cultural, economic, and political constraints.
