What Human Computer Interaction (HCI) can do for citizen science and other volunteer activities
Citizens have been informally contributing to science for hundreds of years. Increasingly digital devices many types of social media have been integrated into citizen science. In this keynote address, Jennifer J. Preece discusses best practices in design and use of the technologies that support citizen science, taking into account issues of privacy and security.
