In this keynote talk, Daniel Coleman charts out what Cree philosopher Willie Ermine calls an “ethical space of engagement” between Indigenous and Diasporic perspectives. By attending to the uncommon ground between them, it is hoped that scholars of literary culture in Canada might contribute to and enhance new forms of dialogue, as well as the possibilities for new alliances.
