A message from Jane Koustas, the Academic Convenor

As the Academic Convenor of Congress 2014, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Brock University and to the Niagara region to explore borders without boundaries. Located within the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve, Brock is surrounded by vineyards and farmland, historic and tourist landmarks, including Niagara Falls, and is conveniently located to the major urban centers of Toronto and Buffalo. The cities of St. Catharines and Niagara Falls offer many opportunities for fine dining, shopping, leisure and entertainment. Join us to honour Brock’s 50th anniversary as we celebrate scholarship and creativity in the academy and the community, as well as across traditional disciplinary boundaries and geo-political borders, and as we create new spaces, real and virtual, in which we demonstrate that “ideas can”.
