Local transportation

Brock University’s main transit hub is located in front of the Arthur Schmon Tower. Local transportation, buses and taxis will be available. An Information Kiosk will be stationed at the Arthur Schmon Tower to assist you in finding your way around campus and the local area.

 

Campus – Hotel Shuttle

Brock University is pleased to provide a daily bus shuttle to and from Brock University and the hotels affiliated with Congress, in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.

This fee-for-service shuttle will operate from May 23 to May 30 between the hours of 6:30 to 10:00 and again from 15:30 to 20:00 daily. The shuttle will run in 30 minute intervals.

Shuttle fare

The shuttle service costs $5 per trip, and exact fare (bills or coins) or prepaid shuttle tickets are required on board. Prepaid shuttle tickets will be available for purchase at the following Brock Campus Store locations across campus:

Accessible shuttle information

All shuttles are accessible “kneeling” buses, with ramp and mobility device securement systems. Hotel names will be called out on the announcement system and will be displayed on interior bus signs.

Shuttle routes

Brock University’s main transit hub is located in front of the Schmon Tower. There will be two shuttle routes departing from this transit hub, one to Congress affiliated hotels in St. Catharines and another to Congress affiliated hotels in Niagara Falls.

Shuttle buses will be stopping on the city street outside/near the hotel property. Please watch for shuttle signs and/or check with the hotel front desk.

St. Catharines shuttle stops

  • Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites St. Catharines Conference Centre (Shuttle stops at the bus shelter in front of the hotel)
  • Days Inn St. Catharines Niagara (Shuttle stops behind the hotel on Scott St. at the Perkins sign)
  • Best Western St. Catharines Hotel & Conference Centre (Shuttle stop before North Service Rd. driveway across from Costco)
  • Comfort Inn St. Catharines (Shuttle stops at the rear entrance to the hotel on Carlton Street)

Niagara Falls shuttle stops

In some cases, stops in Niagara Falls service more than one hotel.

Bus transportation

Brock University is a major transit hub in the community. All St. Catharines Transit and Niagara Region Transit buses are wheelchair and scooter accessible and are equipped with front racks to hold bikes.

Parking

Brock University has ample visitor parking available across campus. Please see the campus map  for lot locations.

The daily parking rate is $7.00; with hourly parking available in some lots. Parking can be paid for upon arrival within your chosen lot or with prepaid scratch permits, purchased at retail outlets across campus.

Peak travel time

During peak travel times guests may be directed to specific lots to ease traffic congestion and for safety.    Please follow the instructions of those directing traffic during those times.

Accessible parking

Attendees with provincial or other government recognized accessibility permits may park in any Brock University accessible parking spaces on campus with the exception of Lot H, by displaying the accessibility permit and a valid pay receipt or scratch permit.

Paying at parking lot

Parking lots are either manned by a kiosk attendant or equipped with pay machines. Lot kiosk attendants can accept cash or prepaid scratch permits and lots with pay machines can accept coins, credit cards, or prepaid scratch tickets.

  • Lot A/Zone 1, 6:30 to 17:00 daily
  • $7.00 per day
  • Cash or pre scratch permits accepted

  • $2.50 per hour or $7.00 per day
